Apple seems to be pretty interested in trade-ins for the iPhone XR..

I have a 6s + that I use currently and an old 6 in the drawer that's my backup phone..

Will they take both as a trade for even more off of the phone price?

I would research what third party applications are getting on the market now.

You can trade in both, but I believe only one of them goes towards a new device.

In store, you can only trade in one device. However, you can send in devices for gift cards. So, if you are not in a hurry, send in you devices for gift card credit and then use that to get your new device.

I had a 7 and a 6 when I got an Xs earlier this year. They would only apply the very generous trade-in price to one of the phones. They other got the standard (much less generous) gift card price.

I can confirm this as I had a similar situation with a 6S and 6. If you have the time and patience, I'd consider selling the 6S plus as you will likely get more for it than Apple's trade in credit. I found little interest in my old 6 so I traded that one in to Apple. You could do the same.

I traded in an iPhone and an old iPad for a new IPad Pro at the apple store. They gave me a “gift card” for one item which they immediately credited and a trade in on the other item. Very easy and let me get rid of two old items and leave with what I wanted.

So the gift cards can also be done in person at the apple store and don't need to be shipped off?

That first link I provided you in this thread, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and there’s ‘frequently asked questions’, and it addresses that.

You can trade in multiple devices for gift cards and then use those gift cards to pay for a new device. It takes time but you can do that.

So I went to apple, traded the 6s+ on the device down payment and the the gift card from the 6 for tax on the phone and then a watch band for my wife.

She told me I couldn’t apply more than 1 payment (the phone trade in) for the principle price of the new phone.

Anyhow. What an amazing difference between the 6s+ and the Xr, just wow!
[doublepost=1562174918][/doublepost]To clarify, I did the monthly payments on the phone..
