I've been having screen burn/heating issues with my 24" iMac that I've had for just a little over a year. It happened a few months ago and they replaced the LCD and it's happening again, except more severe.

Is there any way that I can get them to replace mine with a newer model that has the LED screen (which should be less prone to the screen burn)?

Any other advice any of you have?

That is solely up to the genius/and or manager. Each case is subjective to different means of repair/replace. If they have replaced the screen once, i think it is 50/50 at this point. They may replace the screen again, and then if that fails, they may replace it. I am assuming you have AC?
