Will apple's sdk work on unlocked iphones?

    If there is another firmware update in between now and the SDK release, the answer is "Not at first".

    If there isn't, the answer is, "Yes".

    forgive me for being thick, but how is it that it would work? wouldn't you need to have the latest version of software? if i am not being too much of a pest, could you explain?

    the sdk will run on a mac, probably with xcode running

    Well of course, you have to wait until that firmware is unlocked, so that could take a bit, but after you unlock the phone, it is running that firmware, with usually no differences from people with stock or just jailbroken phones...
