Will AT&T activate my 3G iphone?

Long story short, my GF broke her Iphone 4. I'd like to give her my Iphone 4 and just use my old 3G until I can get my hands on the 4S.

Question is, will AT&T still activate my old Iphone 3G? I know I will have to get a new SIM since they're not the same form factor.

Just get a SIM adapter and stick your iPhone 4 SIM in it. No need to involve AT&T
