Just read the article in my AP app. I wonder when AT&T users will have access to the T-Mobile towers? 30 days?

I hope, but I've read rumors that the transition could take up to a year. I don't think anyone knows right now.

I think AT&T is doing a video chat presentation thing tomorrow so maybe some of these questions will get answered tomorrow.

To discuss what this takeover means is ridiculous at this point. Not only does no one have any idea but the deal will take a year to close.

The definitive answer is that you will not see any higher speeds and that your monthly plans will cost more.

No, but I can tell that there already is a lack of competition. The shareholders will want a high rate of return for paying out all those billions, yah know?

You do know T-mobile never was competition to att? Not to mention this will give att more customers and more coverage (which means they dont need to put towers there) If anything prices will drop.

You do realize that this would mean AT&T will become the only GSM service provider in America? Hence, no competition and they can charge absolutely whatever they want. Though it would be in their best interest to charge less, but after paying $39B i'm dubious it'll be the same after the 'honeymoon' phase.

to the OP: The only thing that will go up first, will be the price and then the coverage.

Yeah, T-Mobile was never a competitor. Right.
