If Apple stops updating it and Google makes any significant changes... So eventually. I doubt it will be right away though. Apple still sales the product. It will likely continue to receive update until a year or two after it's been discontinued.

You can always get the YouTube app back via Plex channels. That's what I do for my ATV2.

Download OpenPlex. Run OpenPlex. It'll walk you through installing PlexConnect on your AppleTV3. It's very easy and works brilliantly.

Thanks! I will check it out when I get home tonight! :)

By they way, you don't happen to know how to subscribe to a YouTube channel on the Apple TV 3, do you? :) Let's say I'm watching a video and I want to subscribe to that channel, how do I do it on the ATV3? On the new Apple TV 4, it's quite easy to do, but I have never figured out how to do it on my old ATV3. :(

Thanks again! :)

Dunno. I only have an ATV2 and it doesn't have the official YouTube app. I usually just subscribe via the Youtube app on my iPad or the YouTube website directly. And I've never tried to subscribe to a channel using the 3rd party YouTube app in Plex channels. I'll have to test it out tonight.
