Will Barrel slow down a jailbroken 2G iPhone?

The only Cydia apps I have on my iPhone 2G is MyWi. I don't have Winterboard as I don't want to slow my already slow phone even more!

I do love the look of Barrel though and would like to download it but only if there is little to no risk of it slowing my iPhone down.

Any opinions regarding this would be appreciated.

well it is a mobilesubstrate addon so i guess it does slow it down although i dont know how noticeable it is on an iphone 2g. on my iphone 4, it's not noticeable.

I dont think so. I have it running on an old 2g touch and its fine.

Not at all.. I've had it on mine for a long time and I've seen no slowdown at all.

I installed it and all seems to be just fine as described above.

Page fade is my favorite.
I also installed 60 Second Lock Screen without issue.
