Will BeeJive IM with Push work on a 3G?

Hi!
Literally an hour away from buying an iPhone, and, only using it really for simple apps and IM (as well as the phone ofc).

...so, can BeeJive IM +Push work with all of it's push features on a normal 3G just like it does on the 3GS? I've heard it's just a couple seconds slower on it's pushing.
