VOIP seems to be a natural for the iPhone. OTOH, Cingular would probably not like that.

Not a chance.

A hack is the best option. If Apple opened a SDK for the iPhone, then that would work too.

Cingular, and all of the carriers suck the life out of the industry...

We'll find out on the 7'th. Only 2 more days! But hey, who's counting, lol.

Yeah because bringing back a thread from January 2007 isn't confusing at all.

Definitely interesting, though. I love looking back at old threads and people who say things like "APPLE WILL NEVER ADD MMS SO ****!!!11!1!!111"

Cingular? Did I step into a time warp, because my understanding was that Cingular hasn't existed since like, 2006... When they were swallowed by AT&T. 😕

If I remember correctly. Cingular bought AT&T's cellular services department but kept the name AT&T because it was more recognizable nationally and internationally. So AT&T is technically Cingular and AT&T really was bought out in 2006.
