Ok so I am switching from a PC to a Macbook Pro. I have already transferred all of my Music, Videos and Pictures to the Macbook Pro. Now I want to finally plug in my iPhone to the Mac and format it for Mac and stuff. Will my Contacts and Text Messages be deleted from the phone or will they just create a new backup/sync to Address Book?

They will sync to Address Book. Backup your phone first and then right click to transfer purchases (apps, for example, even the free ones). Then set the proper settings under Info and sync.
