Right now the 15 inch 2.0 Macbook Pro is $1,699 after the $100 off for education pricing. Will that $100 off discontinue when/if free ipods start being offered with macbooks as a part of the back to school program? Is there a chance that the price of the 15" pro will go up from the regular price of $1,799 when free ipods start being offered? Thanks!

It will not change. At least it hasn't before and I doubt it will this year.

I ordered my MBP during back to school promotion last year and still got the education discount. IMO its the best time to buy.

Don't forget about the $100 rebate towards a printer (and they always stock one that costs $100)!. Still works with the educational discount and the iPod deal :)
