I come from the Apple ecosystem. Over the last 2 months I have been using my sister's iPad since she left it with me when she went on vacation. As for myself, I own an iPhone 4 and an Apple TV (and a PC). But the Nexus 7 is REALLY good looking and I am extremely interested.

If I buy the N7, will the two different operating systems clash making it too hard for me to integrate my devices? Will having two different OS's be too complicated and confusing. For sake of conversation, I would consider myself as the average user.

Thanks for your thoughts and replies!

    Depends.

    • Do you actually own any Apple content like movies and books and music?
    • Do you REALLY love the apps on your iPhone and have a lot of them that you can't do without?
    • Do you NEED to have the 7 sync with your iPhone in multiple ways?

If no, then no, it won't ruin anything.

I came from an iPhone to a Galaxy Nexus and all I needed to do was export my contacts from iCloud to Gmail, which took 2 mins, and then I just added my iCloud email to the Android mail client.

I had an iPhone for 3 years and never bought anything from Apple other than a few useful apps and I don't have a Mac desktop/laptop, so the transition for me was easy. Might be easy for you too.
