Assuming FaceID doesn’t always work for all people in all situations, and has some regressions to Touch ID being replaced by it and/or margins of error, do you think societally we’ll observe people head bashing their iPhone X’s in public?

...You know, how people slam keys when they’re upset sometimes in a textbox form not registering key presses/sometimes people tap their screen in really hard when its not capacitive, really hard to think that will improve its registering

those sorta comical ‘acting out their frustration with tech’ things that people do ... but that doesn’t really accomplish anything.

So I ask:

Will head bashing iPhone X’s for FaceID misreads become a thing in society? Like how people are hunchbacks and always looking down at their phone and stumbling into people and obstructions, something we can tangibly see?

:D

Is this any different when people text and drive or standing in line to order a food item and looking down at their phone while texting distracted? I think it's user based on how they become distracted and or adjust to this latest technology. Just like anything else.

Oh yeah definitely

It's not the fault of the iPhone device but a test of human behavior.

I'm just imagining it getting weird
Before we all inevitably completely check out in VR matrix world one day

Not a chance. Why would they do that? They'll see the phone has "mis-registered" their face and try again. Head bashing please, that's insane

maybe someone will bash their head in to see if faceID will still work after an accident or fight...
