will i be able to pre order if i have 2-3 days left on my contract?

so, will i be able to pre order and go pick mine up at the apple store on launch day if i have like 2 or 3 days left on my contract? my contract is up on the 23rd of september. Can i just add 2 years to my contract or will i not be allowed since it will be new phone?

Most carriers allow you to upgrade within 30 days of the upgrade date.

My buddy was due for Verizon upgrade till June 25 2014. His phone broke beginning of May. I let him borrow Nokia Lumia for 4 weeks and he used upgrade on new S5 May 27.
