Hi,

I currently have an iPhone 4 (locked AT&T) with iOS 4.3.3 en BB 4.10.01. My iPhone is jailbroken and unlocked (with Gevey).
I would like to upgrade to iOS 5.1.1 and preserve my current baseband (4.10.01) en would like to unlock it again with the new Gevey Ultra. The website says this is possible. But I want to be sure. Are there people here who also did this and know this is possible?
Please help me, I wouldn't wanne ***** up my iPhone...

Thanks,

daruub

Yes.
Just make sure you dont mess up and update to official 5.1.1 or there is no turning back.
You need to create a custom 5.1.1 ipsw.

Yes I know, and do you know if I can use an old Gevey Ultra or does it has to be a new one (the one where you don't have to cut your SIM anymore)?
And which program should I use for the custom firmware? Redsn0w, sn0wbreeze,...? Which one is the best? I have a windows PC, no MAC...

Thanks!

Im not 100% but the old gevey should work fine as long as your bb is still the same.
I'd use redsnow but either one will do. Up to you.
