iPhone will i lose my unlock when i restore?

my breakdown...

jailbroken and unlocked
iphone 3g
iOS 4.2.1
baseband 05.15.04
baseband bootloader 6.4_M3S2
previously on iPAD BB 06.15

basically all i need to know is if i get to keep my unlock when i restore to custom ipsw?

How is your phone unlocked?
Is it unlocked with JB ultrasnow or is it officially carrier IMEI unlocked?

It is not unlocked with Ultrasn0w - that baseband is not susceptible to being unlocked by Ultrasn0w.

Good catch.
But still confused cause he said "previously on iPAD BB 06.15"
Why would someone install that baseband and mess up his gps location services and many other issues without needing a software unlock.

He is already on max. level firmware for his device
Since baseband is 5.15.xx, using a custom firmware doesn't get him anywhere with regards to unlocking

Looks like a "drive-by" thread anyway ...
