Will iOS 5 go live immediately after event?

Probably. That is why I made the comment about people please not complaining to devs and/or giving negative reviews if they don't yet work on ios5. They may have a fixed version with ios5 API calls ready to go as soon as they can submit it to Apple (which they can't yet).

I doubt it. Like everyone else in the thread has speculated, the GM will probably be released to the developers tomorrow. The release build will obviously be included with the new iPhone, and for other devices, it will likely be released in 1-2 weeks.

Speculating is pointless though. Go into hibernation and wait for tomorrow.

I'm with you. I could care less about a new iPhone right now. The iPhone 4 is plenty great for me right now.
