Will iOS5 work on iPad 1?

Hi Guys,

So I'm probably going to be getting an iPad 1st generation, anyone know if iOS5 will work or works with the 1st generation iPad? I'm sure someone must have tested the iOS5 Beta which was leaked to developers..

i've got an ipad1. i love it. i highly recommend it. but, the ipad2 is better. you might want to make sure that you are getting the best device for your needs. what do you plan to do on it?

in my case, i bought it to read pdfs, and it appears (i don't know for sure) that the ram in the ipad1 is causing some pdfs to crash. if i optimize the pdfs, i have no problems, so i am ok. but, if it is a lack of ram that is at fault, it would have been better if i had gotten the ipad2. just a thought.

I got the iPad 2 as well. This thing is amazingly thin. If you can, i would get the second gen.

I think Multitasking gestures are only for the iPad 2 in iOS 5.
