I have a 9.7 pro and I want one of those new leather sleeves for the 10.5 inch pro, but I don’t know if it’ll fit. The 10.5 is slightly bigger, so that leads me to think it will fit but might be too loose, but with the Smart Keyboard maybe that’d make up for it and it’d be snug?

Don't know why it wouldn't, it won't be the same fit as the new ones, obviously, but IMO it should have no problem fitting in it. At-least that's what I think (110% sure it will.) but just in-case, you could always drop by an Apple Store ask them and check it out yourself, then you could purchase it to give it a good test, but if it doesn't work you could return it.

I’ve seen some people mention that the iPad with Smart Keyboard would fit, but very snug (like the 10.5 with Smart Keyboard). I think there’s a good chance that the 9.7 with ASK would fit ok in it.

ASK does make it a fair bit thicker, about 6mm or 1/5".
It's not twice as thick, but it's not far from it either.
The 10.5" is 0,1" wider and longer, so I expect it won't fit as leather usually gives a rather snug fit because it usually stretches a little bit over time.

I have the same question but with the 12.9" in other words will the new 12.9" iPad Pro with the Smart Keyboard fit inside the new leather sleeve for the 12.9"?

Sorry, wasn’t exactly clear in my comment. Someone has tried the 9.7” iPad Pro with the ASK and it fit inside the sleeve for the 10.5.
Thanks, maybe I’ll get it then. It is quite expensive, though.

€170.. that is a lot of money.
then again, 2-piece the smart cover silicone thing is also a lot of money. 160 IIRC.

Federico Viticci had a nice write up on the new iPad Pros. Also spoke about the leather sleeve and how not only does the iPad with Smart Cover or Smart Keyboard fit in it, but it's intended to be used like that:

A common misconception about the leather sleeve is that it can only fit the iPad with no cover attached, but it’s actually the opposite. The leather sleeve is best used when the iPad is attached to a Smart Cover or Smart Keyboard; otherwise, the device will be loose and it might slip out (even when the Pencil is in), which happened to me when I was testing the iPad in the sleeve with no keyboard or cover attached to it.
