Not to worry. Apple makes millions upon millions of iPhones. You'll be able to get one sooner or later.
Or... it’ll be abundantly available if demand is lower than anticipated.
The “X” has had a mixed reception. And unless the 11 is based on the old format of the 8 and prior, I’d expect the 11 will enjoy the same mixed reception as the X. Of course, if Apple does actually eliminate the notch, I’d expect the mixed reception to actually change to a more universally welcome reception.
While the notch is not disliked by everyone. Those who don’t mind the notch, will probably not mind if the notch was removed. Likewise, those who don’t like the notch, will probably welcome the removal.
But, if the notch is still there, I’d expect the 11 will likely fall shorter in demand than the X. Many have tried the X and gone back to the older design. So I’d expect those people would skip the 11 if the format remains the same as the X.

When the 6 rolled out, I was able to preorder one fairly late in the day because I did not want gold and highest storage option. 6 was THE phone for Apple over the years re: units sold. From what I recalled, highest and lowest capacities in gold had pushed out deliveries. Silver as well, somewhat.
And it also varied between carriers. Space gray with middle storage on ATT was easily had, which is what I got.
WAG, XI+ might be fairly easy to get due to projected price. XI probably will be "normal" as won't be much different from X. Now, can see where the Econo XI might be a hot seller, especially if there are colors and one or two highly sought colors.
But seeing that Apple's manufacturing and supply chain issues with the X has been resolved, would bet that they will have sufficient supply in the pipeline.
ADD: I ran into some trouble trying to preorder the 8, and even then, was still able to get one for day one almost an hour into preorders opening.

I doubt it in the long run honestly. I’m sure many of the people who returned the x for the 8 prob returned the 7 cause of the headphone jack. People move on.
