In all of the discussion about the new iPhone, I am finding one thing curiously missing. When the new iPhone 3.0 software is released, will current iPhone 3G phones have video capabilities? Or is that only a feature of the new iPhone 3GS? I know things like the new compass, and new processor and ram are only for the new iPhone 3GS, but I would think the 2 megapixel camera in the iPhone 3G is capable of doing video, it just needs the software to enable it. Does anyone know for sure?

the 3g wont be able to record with os 3.0

lame i know considering my 5 year old phone can record video and i damn well know that my 3g is loads more powerful than that thing

No. Sorry. But I bet it will be easily enabled, via editing a .plist file, once the device is rejailbroken after the 3.0 update. 🙂
