Will I be able to pick up my iPhone X preorder at an Apple Store on Nov. 3, assuming if I was able to get it within the first batch, or will they have to be shipped to my (home/work?) In the past I recall that they would only ship to my billing address, but I remember that my iPhone 6 was shipped to my work, so I may be wrong.

X is very high demand ... i woulndt go for delivery option

best option now is >> preorder pickup

1-3 minutes time for you to do so

if you buy in 1-3 mnutes pickup then you about ok 70% on nov 3rd

if you buy in 10-15 minues pickup then you may screw delay pickup

3 million iphone x avail on launch day so there should be some in every apple store .....

let say 3.000.000 divide 500 apple store = ?????

3.000.000 * 500 = 6,000

6,000 - 5,900 delivery = 100 saved for pickup customer

So you should be ok :)

I would do ship to home if you will be able to be home to sign for it. Apple will have FedEX deliver the package on November 3rd if you order right when the pre-orders start.

Fuzzy math.

Have they confirmed that there won't be an in-store pickup option? I spoke with an Apple rep who said they haven't been told anything. I know it wasn't there for the 8, but that doesn't mean anything.

I prefer to pick it up in the store as i can set the pickup time for 8am. I absolutely loathe waiting for packages (I'm pretty impatient). I was under the assumption that you can pre-order and pick up in store as long is it's listed as available on the add-to-bag page.

Couldn't work from home/take Friday off for this day... too suspicious :) so I may just ship it toward if in store pick ip wasn't an option. I did wait in line for iPhone 7 last year because I wasn't working, and I recall that there was a separated queue at Apple Store, presumably pick ups/IUP?

I’ve done preorder to pickup for the watch 3 and every phone since the 6 and am hoping to do the same for the 7. One less variable (fedex) to worry about.

Wait there was no in store pickup for the 8? Doesn’t seem right.

Actually I just did a support chat with Apple and they say in store pick up will be available on first come first serve basis and he strangely said "if you're able to get one in time before it runs out, you will be able to pick it up at an Apple Store" or something alone the line like that. Is it just me or is he hinting that the supply will be crazy tight? I hope he is just suggesting that because he reads news articles online and not that he heard anything in that regard from apple :(

But on the bright side, pick up will be available and it will be available for all payment methods, at least according to him.

When preordering for instore pickup is payment processed online or when you get to the store?

Tim Cook stated there would be a limited supply for walk in customers. So this may be an option for some.
Either way it isn't as if it will take much time to check. On the iPhone add-to-bag page, if in store pickup is available it will say it right there along with the estimated delivery dates for shipping right above it. It will simply be a matter of seeing yes/no to in-store delivery and then choosing the appropriate method.

applestore open 8:00 AM which is lately than before 6:00 AM

i remember before i go hunt for iphone in launch day and people start lining at 4:00 am and the door, open 6:00 am

Thanks for that info. Was curious about that since I wanted to trade in a phone to go towards the full purchase.

Apple using FedEx again, or they still with UPS?
Apple uses both UPS and Fedex, but I think for pre-order deliveries, they used UPS mainly. Some reported getting shipment from Fedex. My pre-orders for the 8 Plus came via UPS. However when I ordered one for my family the following week, they shipped via Fedex.

I prefer Fedex because you can request a hold for a pick up at the closes fedex Ship and print center at any time. UPS also does the hold for pick up.

If you pre-order on apple.com or apple store app, payment will be processed online. But when you go pick up in store, they have you sign on their device indicating you picked it up, which then completes the transaction.
