I’m tired of the 2x zoom with my iPhone 8p. When other phone is getting 10x, I am wondering if the next iPhone will just stay at 2x zoom with new “wide-angle lens”?

Apart from the fact that a tiny zoom probably, like most zooms, has a lower image quality than a prime lens there are also not that many offerings on the market for zoom capable phones.

The next iPhone will likely have one additional lens for an additional focal length, as is widely reported.

If they could bump it to 5x optical zoom with improved stabilisers, then it’d be a welcome upgrade.

Higher zoom factor doesn’t mean better as u will loose light sensitivity with the tele lenses.
