But com'on, expose? How many people use it ? automator? how many people use it? font book? how many people use it? space? isnt that close to virtual desktop? which was there for years. time machine? this kind of function is apple should put in in 10.1, not in 10.5

I can't speak for other people but I use Expose, Dashboard and Automator all the time. I've got a large handful of Automator workflows that I use on a daily basis, and I've given some of them out to people, and made mini applications with Automator.

So, yes, some people do use those things. Just because you don't see value in the software doesn't mean it has no value to everyone. ;)

You're saying things I don't agree with.

And you really, REALLY sound like a pathetic teenager with your ranting. I've seen people claim to be scientists or experts of things just to make themself sound smart, yet once asked to actually back up their claims, they fall flat on their face. Don't go and mention **** you refuse to elaborate on, especially if you deem it irrelevant when that statement is challenged.

Oh yeah, and the ad-hoc defense won't work on me. Sorry.

i guess my next answer would probably be not polite and insulting, so i avoid use word like yours from here. and stop discussing things that has more to do personality than real information, good night.

Overall, I'd say it's worth exploring the things your Mac will let you do, rather than worrying about the things it can't if they don't affect your ability to do awesome stuff with it :)
im over that age now, I used to build several pcs for myself and college buddies, but now feel insecure about that,
i would think most mac user explore their machine only from software level, do they? and even linux sounds like a big task for them to handle.

Wait.

Please don't tell me you just pulled out the 'Mac users are stupider than PC users' rhetoric.

errr...... maybe there are already too many posts here that you didn't really have time to read them. I didn't "just" do anything, and exchanges were all between me and other users who didn't reach the conclusion you just mentioned. sorry, not interested in fight, and discussing about any real issue seems already done here.

Tsk tsk. Making assumptions are we?

I've read the entire topic so far. You might even notice that I posted on Page 3. The implication is clear. You don't seem to think that most mac users would have the capability to install Linux on their machine. While that may be true, I'd wager that the vast majority of Windows users would be completely incapable of doing the same.

As far as I'm concerned, half the features apple introduces are just shiny things to get people to buy the major structural upgrades that they can't advertise. The entire graphics system (QE, QGL), most of the text system (CoreText, the NSLayoutManager changes, etc...), much of the menu system, the boot process for the OS (launchd, etc...), and many other things have all changed in these updates.

I guess then you didn't bother to complaint about other people's statements like

"vista is nothin more than a prettier xp", and
"(windows is popular), but you should also know, general public is always ignorant".
and I sounds like a average windows user coz average windows users are "making excuses to justify Windows' lameness, using Games to somehow prove Windows is better, etc..."

I totally understand your double standard, should I expect better from you then, since you read the whole thing? or I was just so bad that deserve all the attacks that I shouldn't say a thing back?

lets face it...
"vista is nothin[g] more than a prettier xp"
there is little if anything i can see that i can do with vista that i cannot with xp... aside from security related

"(windows is popular), but you should also know, general public is always ignorant"
are you telling me windows is popular (or dominant), or more so than os x because windows is truly better in every aspect, and people consider that everytime they purchase a new machine?
or are you telling me windows is popular (or dominant) because there are more games for it?
"making excuses to justify Windows' lameness, using Games to somehow prove Windows is better, etc..."
i still don't get how does Games prove Windows is a better OS when the user is not playing Games... afterall, Gamer is still a minority of entire computer user population.

whatever man, i was just simply telling Mr Xenesis, if he felt offended by what i said, I should have more reasons to feel offended by what you guys said.
and maybe popularity of windows doesnt mean its better, like I stated in my previous post, (i said popular stuff can be crappy, did I?) but that doesn't result in a conclusion of windows user being ignorant, which is insulting, and contrary to Mr. Xenesis, I didn't react the way he did, or did i?

i have not and will not say windows users are ignorant as oppose to mac users... i said general public is ignorant

you were the one specifically targeted mac user and said
i would think most mac user explore their machine only from software level, do they? and even linux sounds like a big task for them to handle.

just as Xenesis said, dont make it sound like the "general" mac user cannot handle something that general PC user could.

but i do bet that more Windows users that have no clue about OS X, than OS X users that have no clue about Windows... both in percentage and gross number.

you, or your group if you insist that your group is PC user, were not directly insulted, however you directly insulted mac user by the above quote.

Xenesis did not react in anyway that's inappropriate, you did
