Hi,

I am currently selling my iPad Pro 9.7 (I bought one with more storage, and am selling the smaller one). I bought it from Apple, put in my already activated AT&T sim and used it like that (never used the imbedded sim). Now that I'm selling it, I removed my sim, someone wants to know if it will work on Verizon. I honestly have no idea! I remember reading somewhere about Verizon blacklisting iPads that weren't used on their network first? But now I can't find the article. I don't have a Verizon sim to try out, so I'm having trouble answering this person.

un like verizon Ipad pros and iphones they are unlocked no matter what

now depending on how you paid for your AT&T ipad pro is it on a installment plan? if so you will need too pay that off 1st and then get the unlocked code on the AT&T web site and get them too unlocked it then they should be able too used it on verizon AT&T ipads and iphones are locked too there network in tell they are paid off or if you paid for them out right

No, its not on any plan. I bought out right. I just remember reading something somewhere about an iPad needing to be activated on Verizon first other wise Verizon would kick it out if it attempts to go on the network later after AT&T or something. I can't find the article now, but I remember reading it clear enough that I am hesitant to tell someone it will work. But the gist was that Verizon blacklists devices that were first activated on other networks. Meaning I would have had to put it on Verizon first, having had it on AT&T meant Verizon would lock it out. But yeah, being I can't find the article, it could be totally wrong too. Wondering if anyone could confirm using an unlocked iPad that WAS on AT&T now currently on Verizon?

It was definitely publicized that using the Apple SIM with AT&T would render it unusable with any other carrier. Since you did not use the Apple SIM, but an AT&T SIM, your Apple SIM should work just fine, even embedded.
