Will LED be used in the new Aluminum Macbooks?

    We will find out tomorrow. But they are using aluminum cases and Jobs did say that eventually he wants all their products to be using more earth friendly materials such as LED's.

    The most earth friendly thing to do is to stop producing altogether ....

    Yes. It will be the same display as in the Air.

    The Macbook Air uses an LED display, so the Macbook should be the same.

    Do they consume less power? enough to improve battery life?

    100%. They consume less power; improving battery life. Turn on at 100% brightness instantly. Are better for the environment when disposed.

    i agree, i can't see why apple wouldn't use them
