I recently bought VMWare Fusion, but have not installed it yet, because I am concerned that Leopard (10.5) may include "Unity"-type functionality.

Is this an unfounded concern? I have not seen anything that indicates Leopard will carry such a feature, but I may have missed something.

    Thanks for your help?

A "fast boot" option was originally going to show up in Leopard but was pulled. Virtualization is probably not on the cards either.

The only multi-platform kinda software that will come with Leopard is Bootcamp, which allows you to boot into different OS's... not run them simultaneously. So, if that is what you want, you are fine using VMware.
