I'm unlikely to want to pay a premium for the M6 ultra macbook with OLED screen, etc since I don't really need OLED.

Mostly interested in getting the M6 pro chip for the 2nm die shrink and better performance instead of M5 pro.

What do you guys think the lineup will look like by end of this year/early next year?
- M5 pro/max
- M6 in the air/14" pro
- M6 pro in the 16" or will this chip only end up in the new "ultra" macbook?
- M6 max in the 16" ultra?

Probably too early to tell.

I could see something like the M6 base chip + mini-LED, but M6 pro and max with OLED.

This would be frustrating though since the base chips aren't available in 16" machines right now, only the 14" pro machines which is really odd. (Like, what if I just want a bigger screen but don't need all the cores?)

An ideal machine for me would be something like 16" M6 base or pro, 48gb-64gb ram, 2tb ssd, mini-LED screen fine.
