Pretty much the question.
Will it update the OS when it's closed and power plug is in?
I noticed when it's closed it's still connected to router and wifi, wonder will it do it's business automatically?

I can't answer your question, but a bit of advice:
It's probably not the best idea to have "automatic updates" turned on.
YOU should be the one who controls what gets updated on your Mac.

I'd TURN OFF auto updating.
Then -- when you're advised that updates are available -- choose to install them when you want to.

It can download updates, that's for sure. It will install updates, that do not require a restart, if automatic installation of those is set up. It will not install updates that require a restart.
