Will Macbook get the swipe?

Will the Macbook get an upgrade, and have similar features that the track pad in the Macbook air has?

Is it possible, or is there completely new technology behind the one in the MB Air?

No one's entirely sure yet.

It's unclear if existing MacBooks and MacBook Pros trackpads can be upgraded to incorporate this new behavior.

If another laptop was to get it I bet it would be the MBP and not the entry level MacBook's.
