I doubt it, you'll probably just be able to use the current iMessage features

Hopefully not since that's the reason I'm not updating 10.

You'll have to upgrade sooner or later.

So we'll see a post from you in about 3-4 months asking how to stop iOS from nagging you to upgrade to iOS 10?

Why would anyone want to use those tacky "features"? The only good one seems to be the invisible ink for "those" photos.

Really? So you can't send iMessages to anyone using a lower firmware?

I hope this isn't true. This could cause a ton of outrage.

I think it should just go into a compatible mode if someone hasn't updated.

They meant it doesn't send the new messages types, i.e. Stickers and drawings nor does it send the larger emoji

    Normal messaging works fine

Doesn't seem like that's what the thread is about, nor that there's any actual "answer" to something purely subjective and different for different people.

Take a look at the iOS 6 forum. To many of the people there, iOS 6 is apparently still the pinnacle of human achievement.

If by too many you mean a few, sure.

That's kind of what I mean- there aren't many people there, but to those that remain, iOS 6 is dearly beloved to them.
