Will metal detectors spoil phones and electronics?

Well just wondering about it. I just walked through one with my iPhone. Any damage caused?

They've allowed you to keep your phone in your pocket? Typically I've had to send mine through the scanners and walk through the metal detectors sans electronics.

No of course not, but any equipment that is used had not harmed the phone 🙂

TSA is quite aggressive in making sure you have nothing in your pockets, when being checked, and its not for the well being of your phone 🙂
