I have a 15" 1.5 ghz PB, and have been thinking of adding a mac mini to the mix with superdrive ect. What I want to know is can I hook the mini to my powerbook via the dvi cable (or another) and have then both work off of the same screen/keyboard/mouse? I think you can toggle something to switch between them am i wrong?

You'll seed a KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse). Most are VGA and PS/2. You'll need to find a USB & DVI KVM.

yes, i want to be able to switch between the powerbook harddrive and the mac mini using the powerbooks keyboard monitor / mouse

Guess I misunderstood your question. Sorry. And yep, they are right: You're out of luck because it can't be done.

yeah i guess I will just get that lacie dvd burner and keep using my maxtor II then for now thanks 🙂

What about using Apple Remote Desktop?
Only if you don't mind the lag and lack of certain things that accompany using VNC...

And last time I checked, there's only one of me 😛
