Hi,

Will my external DVD work in Europe ??

I plan on buying a La CIE external DVD burner in the
U.S. before going to Europe, BUT will I be able to
watch european movies since DVDs there have
a different region to those in the U.S. - Will the La
CIE bought in the U.S. READ the European DVDs ???

As far as I know the choice of region is software related. If im wrong a firmware upgrade might do the trick.

from what I recall, most burners will allow you to change their region about 5 times, so you could just change the region on the burner and be alright.

When you put in a European Disk it should ask you to Change the region Encoding for the Drive. You should then be able to change it back if/when you come back to the US.
