I have a Linksys E2500 router as the only wireless access point in my home. I'd like to make a separate network using an AirPort Express by connecting the Express to the Linksys via an ethernet cable. Will this work?

Here's an image for clarification: Image

    Yes that will work.
(my opinion) it will work best if you make the A/Expr a different network name, diff. channel and IP subnet.

Yes. It will work fine. Remember to use identical settings if you want clients to roam between APs.

Thanks. I was planning on using different settings for each network.

Your clients will not roam freely between APs then.
