Will older versions of iPhoto run on Mavericks?

As I despise the latest incarnations of iPhoto with their restricted functionality I wish to stay with the version I have installed (8.1.2)
Anyone know if this version will run on Mavericks or are they 'forcing' you to update?

I'm using 8.1.2 just fine. So far, very happy with going from ML to Mavericks on my mid-2010 MacBook Pro 13 (base model). 😀

I'm using 2010 intel 27 in. imac, updated to mavericks. iphoto(8.1.2) has issues after editing, going to full screen and back. Wouldn't want to try doing anything serious with it. Anyone know if i update iphoto to 9.5 will my photo's transfer over without any problems?
