I have a jailbroken 4S and am on OS6.1 currently. I haven't experienced the connectivity issues that have been reported.

Should I upgrade to 6.1.1 and jailbreak again to keep current? Or will the 6.1.1 update adversely affect what I have now?

BTW, battery life with my jailbroken 6.1 has significantly improved.

I'm on it now, no issues.

Help - evasion doesn't work!

Now I've upgraded to 6.1.1 but evasion doesn't work. I upgraded to vers 1.3.

Crap. No jailbreak. This sucks.

I have the same 'problem' as you, OP. No connectivity issues and no battery issues on a jailbroken 4S on 6.1. I think I'm not going to bother, especially because the jailbreak took multiple tries on my ever so slightly outdated first gen MBP. I wonder though why some 4S's have problems with 6.1 and some don't.

I'm on it now, no issues.
But did you notice any change in 3G performance between 6.1 and 6.1.1?

Give it another go.

Give it another go.

I don't really care if it did or not. I just like to be in the latest.

Works fine though.

Success!

I finally got evasion to work! Yay!

The problem was that my PC was downloading Win7 updates in the background. When I went to shut it down and see if a restart would work, I noticed a yellow ! mark in front of the Shutdown command. Oh, I'll bet that's it, I said. There were 14 updates to Win7! Took what seemed ages to install and update.

TL;DR: After Win7 updated PC, evasion worked fine!

(Yeah, I'm a redditor. So?)
