Hello, i am new to the forums and i have a question that's baffling me. I jailbroke my iphone 4, unjailbroke it, and used it's data to backup my new iphone. However, i found out that because the backup was used for the jailbroken iphone, my battery percentage for my new phone can not be turned off. I am wondering if there are more stuff that will be affected because of the backup. Please inform me if possible, thank you!

I doubt that the back up from a Jailbroken handset would stop the battery percentage from being able to be turned off. Never ever heard of the this problem if it is the case. Can you not turn it off in Settings>General>Usage>Battery Percentage?

I've never had any trouble putting jailbroken back ups on newly update iPhones or brand new iPhones.

And I completely disagree with above reply.

There are always "gremlins" that remain from the backup of a jailbroken device.
You will see many recommendations here to restore, set up as new and do not restore from backup when moving from one firmware level to a new version and when putting new devices into service.

You may well disagree but it's the truth, not had a single problem.

I've seen the recommendations and what not but never felt the need to restore and set up as new after updating, ever.

Come to think of it, with regards to my last post i haven't put a JB back up on a new device. Always set up as new and used Bump to transfer over contacts etc etc. I still stand by my statement with regards to never having a problem after putting a JB back up on newly updated device. I've done it with my 4 & 4S and i may also do the same with my 5, or i might just leave it JB unti iOS7:D
