So I know I want a retina Macbook Pro 13" 2014 Model(the base model). But I don't know if it will fit all of my needs...
    My Needs:
    -Xcode, and Java
-Games such as Cod4, Black Ops, and Minecraft
    -Websurfing, using imovie and garageband

So what do you guys think?

    Thanks

Yes, although you won't be able to play the games at max resolution/detail.

Yes. Make sure that you stop by and create a thread titled "rMBP running too hot" and include observations like "the CPU hits 90-100 degrees / fans running super fast / am I going to fry my laptop?" once you start playing games with it.

I'm not so sure the 13" MBP is the best fit for game playing. I think there may be better options, including the 15" MBP with the dGPU, though that is really expensive.

It all depends on how much game playing you plan. You may be able to live with the 13" model, and decrease the resolution when playing as mentioned above.
