iPhone XR Will SIM card from iPhone 8 Plus work with iPhone XR?

I am planning on buying a sim-free unlocked iPhone XR, to upgrade from my iPhone 8 Plus. But will the SIM card that is in my iPhone 8 Plus work with the iPhone XR? Do they have different technologies that make them not work with each other?

Also, just as a hypothetical, could you use a SIM card from an iPhone 6 Plus in an iPhone XR?

The SIM cards are all interchangeable all the way back to the iPhone 5

Hard to say. Who knows. It might not be know until a year from now when 5t rolls out and people may or may not need to change sims.

In most cases the SIM card is just account information. Whether 3G/4G/5G

Yes. Pull it out of your 6S and put it in your new phone and save the activation fee!

I had an ATT rep tell me that only the latest SIM card will allow you phone to run at the highest potential. When she said that I left the store.

It should they’re both nano sim. Maybe trim the edges to make it fit by using a mail file.
