Will Sim City ever come to the Mac App Store?

    Just wondering, will Sim City ever come to the Mac App store? :confused:

    That would be something to ask Aspyr.

    They are putting a lot of their older games on the App Store, so it's possible.

    Yes but it is a PowerPC Application(SC4), the app store is not a PPC app, And Lion will get rid of Rosetta. So they will not. It is not like apple to distribute for unsupported systems.

    SC4 Deluxe, with the expansion (which is what they would sell) is a Universal Binary. At least, there's a beta patch. I just have the base game so I have no idea how well it works, but if Aspyr found the time to finalize that patch then they could release the game on the App Store.

    On an slightly related note, it's been ages since we've seen a proper city simulation game. EA/Maxis seems fixated on Spore and The Sims lately. It would be great if they made a SimCity 5, though I have no idea how good it would be with Will Wright gone.
