Greetings I didn't order the 1st gen Apple Watch but I'm placing my order for a 2 since I needed the waterproofness. I'm scared of the space gray scratching easily and coming off? Should I be? I like the looks of it over the aluminum but don't want to have the old slate gray issues.

??

Thanks!!

The finish on the space grey watch itself is quite durable but the screen on the sports model is made out of a glass that is similar to the screen on an iPhone or iPad which is more prone to scratches than the screen on the stainless steel models which is made from sapphire crystal.

The finish doesn't just come off but all watches can pick up fine scratches over time.
Wearing it on your wrist is not a problem. Dropped on the floor say concrete could be a problem.
If the scratch is deep enough there will be a silver looking aluminum or steel underneath the gray or black finish.

I've had a space gray since the first day last year in 2015. With 3 to 5 workouts a week, weights jogging biking and wearing the watch all the time there's not a scratch on it were on the screen. I think the watch is quite durable

What about the aluminum body?
