Will spore run on a year old MacBook?

As title suggests, thinking about buying spore for a year old MacBook, will it run ok?

it wont run as it was designed too. (meaning there might be lags). you need the nvidia chip...for good peformance. spore..cod4..these newer games that were released since September are designed for the new alum macbooks.
