Steve and Bill have a lot in common, they have basically shaped personal computing over the last two decades. The time they had dinner together was at last years D conference I think.
Bill loved iPod apparently. One of the journalists who had been at the launch was the first to show it to him (he was meeting him later in the day). I can't remember where I read this story, but it was quite interesting at the time.

As far as I can see it is only recently Linux has become a viable choice for consumers, although it is doing great things in the server market.
