Does anyone see why Apple would keep the 128 GB MBP around? I would hope they would start at 256GB and go up from there.

There is zero reason to have a base model with that little storage on a $1000+ machine. It's comically stupid.

they sell new macbooks starting with 256gb (iphone and ipad with 256gb), so i quess there wont be new pros with 128gb.

No body wants 128GB unless you only install office apps on your laptop.....even phones get 128GB

I could see the base £999 model being bumped up to 256GB but also cost more than £999 cause Brexit.

Like I said in the other thread, if 128 GB is base, it will be an embarrassment for Apple. They may have courage but I don't think they have enough courage to crap on their own brand like that.

Unless you use it only for boring work stuff

unless you only install office apps on your laptop

no place on a laptop

Guuuuys, there are people who just don't work with media.

The largest chunks of data in my MacBook are Xcode (10 gigs), Wolfram Mathematica (6.7 gigs), Android Studio, IntelliJ IDEA and Affinity Photo. + 10 gigs of music and 10 gigs of some games (Minecraft and such).

Is my usage boring?

If you're boring, then im boring. My Mac has been sitting at 128GB of 250GB free for 6 years now. I have no clue how I would fill up 1TB.
