    Hi
Just about to purchase the rMBP, and was looking at the 2.7Ghz CPU Upgrade. Just wondering if it is worth while - will it make any difference that is noticeable to me in general daily use? And in App Building use (in Xcode)? And in use with lots of open Safari tabs (say, 20?). Will it improve the graphics performance and reduce any lag people refer to?

It should help a bit in Xcode, not sure how much. It wont improve the graphics speed though because thats handled by the Nvidia GPU.

Ok. Would I be likely to get a different quality SSD if I upgraded that to 768GB? Perhaps faster read/write?

    I'm pretty sure you wouldn't.

On answer to your original question, the 2.7 may give you a bigger Geekbench score, but unless you do something like encoding video every day, it won't make any difference. Personally, if I had the money, I'd go for 2.3/16/768.

512 is fine if you do not need extra storage.
