I read some guy saying that the 64GB model would be slower than the 256GB model in terms of speed and ram. I'm guessing it was complete *********?

No one knows. It could be anything: different chips for 64GB; so people can return them 10 times until they get the 'good' chips. Fun stuff like that.

Then there's the screens......

It's common in flash storage.

Yes, it will be faster, but it's in numbers. Can you notice it in daily usage ?

A real usage experience are more valuable and more important than just a numbers/theory.

I guess when you're spending $1000+ you expect everything to be the best, and don't want to settle for less, regardless of what difference it makes

With the same chip why would less storage space make it slower? Hmmm. Did I miss something from past history?

I cant fill a 256GB laptop with stuff....what am I going to put on a phone?

if i get the X it will be 64....regardless of speed

If you're willing to spend an extra $150 for 400% more storage you don't appear to need just so you can have faster RAM, even though you're very unlikely to notice the difference, go for it. I don't see much bang for the buck there, but it's neither my phone nor my decision. Hopefully you're happy whichever direction you go.

Well a logical person would not even be ordering an iPhone X. IPhone 8 if you have to have iPhone and need a new one, some other phone that's a fraction of the price if having iPhone doesn't matter.
But what if I want an iPhone without fat bezels (coming from S7edge so I don't want the same screen size in a larger form factor).

If you get the 256GB model, you'll likely keep more apps installed anyways which will probably offset the very slight difference in speed

Cause New 4K videos are like 170mb for a minute. 4K/1080p movies will catch up too.

That's logical for some. I love new technology. I don't mind being on the bleeding edge. I enjoy it in fact. Additionally, I can afford it. Thus I'd argue that the X is the logical choice for me.

A little bit on the top and bottom isn't going to hurt you to save hundreds of dollars, lol. The edge has a smaller usable screen anyway because of those stupid curved edges.
