Will the Air get the scissor keyboard?

I ask as Apple refreshed the body design in 2018 and I wonder if they'll update it again to accommodate the scissor keyboard for 2020.

I assume they'll switch all of their MacBook lineup over as they release new models. I'd be surprised if they launch another one with butterfly keys.

They may not even update the MBA at all this year, but when they do it will probably have the new keyboard (why continue with a flawed design that they have to warranty for 4 years?).

I don't like it. Even though it's a lot quieter than earlier versions, it is still too noisy when on a conference call (I have to mute myself or I can't be taking notes). The key travel also leaves some to be desired. I tried the keyboard on the 16" and that is a HUGE improvement.

Know that feeling it is very noisy. So the 16 inch one is more quiet? I have the Macbook air 19 and the keyboard is so noisy but not a bad keyboard but if the keyboard is that much better I may upgrade it

It is hard to tell in the store because of ambient noise but reviewers say it's quieter.

I actually like the 2019 keyboard more on my air then I do the pro that I have.. not sure if it's different. It's a 2019 Pro.. the keyboard on the 2019 air feels way nicer but not sure if its in my head or not, or maybe the way my hands are positioned on the keys due to the slant that the macbook air has on the body

All 3 2019 13" MBs (MBP 4TB, MBP 2TB, MBA) have a slight difference in keyboard feel. In my experience, I would rate them as MBP 4TB > MBA > MBA 2TB. MBA 2TB has the noisiest of them and a somewhat hollow feel.
