    Hey all,

I'm really interested in purchasing the Dell 2408WFP Ultrasharp monitor for my MacBook Pro. The only thing I'm worried about is my graphics card will not be able to hand the output. My MacBook Pro (mid 2006) with ATI Radeon X1600 128mb of VRAM. What do you guys think, will it support it?

    Here's a link to the monitor: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...etail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-6272

Of course it will work. Your laptop can handle anything up to Dual-Link DVI 30" displays (2560x1600).

The OS X display preferences typically don't let you select 1920x1080 (16:9 ratio) as a resolution. 1920x1200 yes (16:10 ratio).

You can download and use SwitchResX to let you select the proper resolution:
