At any rate, if you need a good graphics card, go with the Mac Pro.

sorry but that is a ridiculous comment the base mac pro without a monitor is still far more expensive. The 8800 gs on the old 3.06 is perfectly adequate....

let's not forget; the current iMac's design (albeit a "10" on the beauty scale) has been with us since what? Fall '07? Not to mention Snow is supposedly going to feature a new UI -- is our design obsessed Apple going to showcase it on a tired (again, albeit AWESOME) design? I'd like to think they'll redesign/upgrade this fall.

i have a dilema too...
my cousin is going to switcerland in may and he can buy the iMac for me but i will be extremely stupid if the new iMacs comes out soon.:D.. so what do you think should i wait or not?

NOT happening. The white version of this design stuck around for 3 years.

Not to mention, they JUST moved all of their computers to match this design. They are NOT going to change the iMac away from it seconds after.

Agreed. I think it'll be a few years away at the earliest.

They'll just tweak the current design. On the new models they tweaked the stand. The base slopes down a bit. Little touches like that will keep the overall design fresh until the next major design refresh.
